Commercial Lending Attorney - NYC Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)
Our client a top regional law firm is seeking a talented a Commercial Lending Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join its growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated financing transactions representing banks, institutional and non- institutional lenders, real estate developers, and investors in a broad range of commercial lending matters.The ideal candidate will have experience handling asset-based lending transactions, commercial real estate financings, and other secured and unsecured commercial finance transactions from inception through closing.
Responsibilities include:
Representing lenders, borrowers, real estate developers, and investors in complex commercial finance transactions.
Drafting, review, and negotiate loan documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, guaranties, mortgages, and related closing documents.
Conducting due diligence and coordinating all aspects of transactions through closing.
Review, analyze, and clear title exceptions and survey matters.
Review and interpret corporate, partnership, and LLC organizational documents.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending and finance transactions.
Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate loan documentation.
Experience reviewing title reports and resolving title-related issues.
Strong understanding of corporate and LLC structures and governance documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospitality employee needed to support busy law firm with all hospitality functions including on-site setup and food and beverage service for in-office meetings and events, as well as support the Hospitality team with regards to event RSVP tracking, vendor research, and meeting and event setup and breakdown, managing pantries on multiple floors, taking in food deliveries, etc. Must have hospitality experience. Candidates must be able to work 5 days in the office Monday through Friday and be flexible to work overtime when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain conference rooms daily including calendaring, set up for meetings including food and beverage, meeting supplies restock, and inventory management.
- Maintain Hospitality team tracking spreadsheets in Excel, RSVP lists for upcoming events, and assist with filing in MS Teams and joint outlook inboxes; participate in pre- and post-event production.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and other parties to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Assist with title and lien reviews, closing preparation, scheduling, and post-closing matters, including recording documents and preparing closing binders.
- Conduct research and gather information necessary to complete legal forms, filings, and transactional processes.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum one year of experience working in a NYC residential real estate law firm.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience providing administrative support, calendar management, and coordinating among multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and legal industry software platforms.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software systems.
- Ability to commute to our NYC office five days per week.
Preferred
- Notary Public license or willingness to obtain one.
